Carbon disulfide is a widely used chemical solvent in industry, and it is also employed in the production of viscose fiber, carbon tetrachloride, and pesticides. It is a colorless and volatile liquid. Carbon disulfide enters the body through the respiratory tract, and can also be absorbed through the skin and gastrointestinal tract. After entering the body, 10-30% is excreted through the lungs, while 70%-90% is eliminated in the urine as a result of metabolism. In severe cases, brain edema leads to excitement, delirium, and coma; death may occur due to paralysis of the respiratory center. In some cases, central and peripheral nerve damage may remain. Chronic poisoning primarily damages the nervous and cardiovascular systems.
It depends on your design requirements. According to clause 7.2.5 of the HG2058–2011 Standards for Structural Design of Steel Chemical Vessels, welded neck flanges should be used for low-temperature vessels, high-temperature vessels, fatigue-resistant vessels, and vessels belonging to each of these three pressure categories
Carbon disulfide is not highly permeable; it is classified as moderately hazardous under HG20660 and is explosive, but it is assigned a higher hazard level under GB5044. Carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide also fall into this category, and technical requirements are established for them as high-toxicity pressure vessels!
A high-neck flange is required; refer to the standards HG/T20580_20585, which provide relevant information
