Has anyone used the Huangtai circulating fluidized bed gasifier? Could you please provide some information on it? I’m seeking help; does anyone familiar with this topic have any design specifications related to the installation of such gasifiers that they could recommend? Thank you very much
Hehe, the term “Huangtai gas stove” is incorrect; this is a technology from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and it was designed by me personally
It is currently mainly used for producing industrial gas, with a capacity of up to 60,000 cubic meters per hour; air is vaporized at atmospheric pressure, and the calorific value of the gas ranges from 1300 to 1480 kcal

The circulating fluidized bed gasifier uses coal powder with a size of 0–10 mm, and the temperature inside the furnace is maintained at around 980°C. The hot, dusty gas is cooled in a waste heat boiler, and then dust removal is carried out using a bag filter; as a result, the dust content in the gas after dust removal is no more than 15 mg/Nm3. There is no tar in gas, nor is any phenol water produced. Currently in operation are units with capacities of 15,000 Nm3/h, 25,000 Nm3/h, 40,000 Nm3/h, and 60,000 Nm3/h, totaling 20 units.

What is the working principle of this atmospheric pressure circulating fluidized bed gasifier, and why is no tar or phenol water produced? Isn’t the function of that waste heat boiler to generate steam? Isn’t steam used as a vaporizing agent?
