Which standard specifies that compressed air shall not be used to push materials for flammable and combustible liquids?
Which specification doesn’t matter; it’s enough to know that it won’t work. Compressed air with a high oxygen content can easily cause combustion explosions. It doesn’t say that inert gases such as nitrogen cannot be used to hold the material in place
To identify potential problems in a company, it’s necessary to have evidence; otherwise, the company will claim that those are just unfounded suggestions: lol.
One of the provisions in SH3047 states that compressed air shall not be used for loading and unloading liquid ammonia, liquefied petroleum gas, and flammable liquids; the purpose is likely the same. However, some companies fail to obtain such equipment first, and it is argued that clear legal and regulatory basis must be identified to address potential hazards.
