I have a question regarding the inlet and outlet flanges of a water pump. I would like to ask the experts: if the pipe fittings are selected for PN10 and the water pump is selected for PN16, can they be connected at the flange part of the water pump? For valves of the same size, such as butterfly valves with a pipe diameter of DN300 and ratings of PN10 and PN16, are the flanges different? Can’t connect? I truly seek guidance!*

The center distance between the flange bolt holes for DN300, PN10 is 400 mm, while that for DN300, PN16 is 410 mm – a difference of 10 mm, which means they do not fit together. If the requirements are not high, the bolt holes can be enlarged; according to standards, it is recommended to purchase the corresponding flanges.

You need to find out who will provide the flanges at the pump outlet; usually it’s the manufacturer who does this. Tell them the wall thickness and dimensions of your pipes, so that they can prepare the grooves on the flanges and weld them directly to your pipes. As long as the inlet and outlet pressures of the pump are higher than the pressure rating of your pipes, it can be resolved either by the manufacturer or on-site
What was said upstairs is correct; when placing orders, we usually ask the pump manufacturer to include matching flanges, so there is no issue with the pump outlet flanges not fitting properly.
