Our factory’s original condensate pump used a packing seal, which would always leak a little; this pump operates with a clearance design. I would like to change it to a mechanical seal, as cooling water can be provided on-site. I would like to ask what the flushing scheme for the mechanical seal is? Which material for the O-ring inside is more reliable? Examples of pumps that have been operated in practice would be ideal.

Condensate pumps are quite special; they are very prone to cavitation, and cavitation is what most easily damages mechanical seals. If the packing seal leakage is within the acceptable range, use a packing
