The buried pipeline for sewage oil lacked anti-corrosion treatment and was exposed to water for a long time

Dear sea friends, our facility is currently under construction. The construction team laid the buried pipelines in the ditches without applying any anti-corrosion measures. With continuous rain these days, these pipelines remain submerged in water constantly. After checking various standards, it was stated that the solution is to pump out the water and dry the pipelines. I would like to ask what effects prolonged exposure of buried pipelines to water (for about two weeks, on an intermittent basis) might have on them Or are there any relevant standards or specifications?
