I would like to ask a question: the temperature of the feed to my distillation column is 365 degrees Celsius, while the temperature of the gas vapor fed into the bottom of the column is 345 degrees Celsius. Since the feed temperature is higher than that of the vapor, how can steam stripping take place? = =

I’m not sure what kind of feed you’re using~~ In our hydrogenation stripping tower, the temperature of the superheated steam used is around 320 degrees; the purpose of this is to reduce the partial pressure of the oil vapor, prevent water from being carried along with the oil, and make it easier for the gas components to condense in the top condenser. I don’t think the feed temperature has much impact on this. If the goal is simply to ensure that the raw material contains no water, then superheated steam will suffice. Additionally, if it’s other components involved, the Dalton’s law of partial pressures could be taken into consideration – perhaps to reduce the partial pressure of a certain component~~

Also, the feed temperature of the distillation column is already quite high, so the amount of heat that needs to be added is not significant.

You’re referring to the hydrogen sulfide stripping tower, right? I’m talking about the distillation tower. It is to reduce the partial pressure of oil and gas. In the fractionation tower, or in the gas phase, there’s very little hydrogen sulfide.
