Issues regarding the calibration of safety valves in centrifugal compression units

Hello, teachers. I have a question I’d like to ask. Our company deals with long-distance pipelines, and the compression stations equipped there contain foreign-made centrifugal compressors; we are currently facing a problem. Do the safety valves installed on the compressor dry gas seal disk and lubricating oil system need to be regularly calibrated on-site? Online or delivered locally? Are there any relevant mandatory regulations? I always feel that testing good products is a way of ruining them; besides, there are no spare parts for safety valves either. I couldn’t find any information online either; I’m asking the teachers here if they have any experience with this
To determine whether it falls under special equipment, it is generally only the safety accessories of such equipment that require mandatory calibration. For example, safety accessories for simple pressure vessels do not have such requirements; they are disposed of when their service life expires. To continue using it, it must be inspected. If there are any mistakes, please feel free to point them out. Regulations on the Safety Supervision of Special Equipment Article 27: Users of special equipment shall carry out regular daily maintenance on such equipment, as well as conduct periodic self-inspections. The users of special equipment shall conduct self-inspections on the special equipment in use at least once a month and keep records thereof. When the users of special equipment detect any abnormalities during self-inspections and routine maintenance of the equipment in use, they shall address such issues promptly. The users of special equipment shall regularly calibrate, maintain, and inspect the safety accessories, safety protection devices, measurement and control devices, as well as related auxiliary instruments and meters of the special equipment in use, and keep records thereof.

Since I don’t know what exactly is included in the compressor units you’re referring to, it’s difficult for me to make a judgment. Compressors, pumps, fans, etc., are not considered special equipment in themselves; it depends on whether they are equipped with storage tanks. The storage tank may be considered a pressure vessel, and it is necessary to check against the catalog of special equipment to determine whether it falls under that category.
