I want to separate the impurity cadmium from the zinc sulfate solution; I would appreciate it if those with more experience could offer guidance on similar production methods. I plan to try using the approach below. Di(2-ethylhexyl) dithiophosphoric acid–(D2EHDTPA) and trioctylamine–(TOA) are used in synergistic extraction, with sulfonated kerosene as a diluent. It mainly involves extracting cadmium from a zinc sulfate solution in order to separate zinc sulfate from cadmium. The concentration of zinc in the solution is 70 g/L, while the cadmium concentration is 2 g/L; the concentrations of Cu and Ni are both 1 g/L each. The extraction is carried out at a pH of 5, and sulfuric acid is used for back-extraction, with the back-extraction taking place at a pH of 3. Are there any senior colleagues with similar production experience? What is the actual performance in production?
Can direct zinc powder displacement not be used to remove copper and cadmium? Why extract? Comparatively, extraction is costly, the equipment has low processing efficiency, and it also leads to problems such as the entrainment of organic substances
It cannot be used for direct extraction and requires preliminary treatment. This liquid has a low cadmium content, making it difficult to extract.
What concentration of cadmium is suitable for direct extraction? Pre-treatment?
Should we produce electrolytic zinc, or zinc-based chemical products? The purity of electrolytic zinc can’t be that high
