I first made a single tower, and then I made a pair of towers connected in series. Tower 1 of the twin towers does not have a condenser, while Tower 2 lacks a reboiler. The gaseous phase at the top of Tower 1 flows directly into the bottom of Tower 2, and the liquid phase at the bottom of Tower 2 flows directly into the top of Tower 1. It is ensured that the feed is the same as that in the original tower, and that the bottom composition of Tower 1 and the top composition of Tower 2 are identical to those of the bottom and top of the entire tower. But the difference is that the mass flow rate on each tray of the separate tower is about half that of the entire tower. . . I wonder why. . . Thank you, expert!
You’ve essentially added an extra tray at the bottom of the second tower; nothing else has changed, so how can there be such a significant reduction?
The entire tower consists of 140 tray sections; the feed inlet is located at the 96th section. Towers 1 and 2 each have 70 tray sections, with the feed entering at the 36th section of Tower 1

Are the tray numbers counted from top to bottom? Does that mean the position of the feed inlet remains unchanged? Did you change the reflux ratios of the two towers? . . . Set the reflux ratio to the same value, and then take another look
