Before night fell, it finally snowed in Wuhan today; the falling snowflakes outside gave the place a festive atmosphere. Forecasts suggest a possible blizzard, with temperatures dropping below -10 degrees – lower than usual for this time of year. The temperatures are also abnormal; it’s hoped that there won’t be widespread freezing rain in the south this year, as happened previously, which led to many high-voltage power lines being damaged and heavy traffic congestion on highways.
It’s okay; the relevant government departments have emergency plans.
