In a single-stage centrifugal pump, after operating for some time, the lubricating oil in the bearing housing turns black, while other parameters such as vibration and temperature remain normal. Upon disassembling the thrust deep groove ball bearing 7314, it was found that the surface of the main thrust rolling elements had patterns (crack-like marks) and was no longer smooth. The copper cage is worn. The bearings, bearing housings, volutes, impellers, and shafts were replaced multiple times. None of the problems have been solved. Is this situation caused by excessive axial force in the centrifugal pump? But this has never happened before. There have been no significant changes in operating conditions.
