For large reciprocating compressors, are domestic ones better or foreign ones?

Dear experts, I would like to seek your advice regarding the selection of large compressors. We are in the LNG industry, and concerning the BOG compressors, my management insists on using imported foreign machines, one unit only, without any backup unit. I, on the other hand, prefer to use domestic machines and require a backup unit. May I ask if it is acceptable to use foreign reciprocating compressors, with just one unit and no backup unit? Which manufacturers produce high-quality reciprocating compressors abroad? In China, apart from Shenyang Steam Turbine Group and Yuanda, which other companies are good at producing reciprocating compressors?
Choose imported ones; domestic products have constant minor problems as well as major ones. Once you buy them, you and the manufacturer are basically like relatives.
How are imported services? Also, is it okay to use just one imported machine without a backup?
The imported ones we use have never broken, and the service is good; I’m not sure about replacements. When buying domestic products, they beg you; when it’s time for repairs, you have to beg them. Hehe, I guess there’s no need for me to say anything more.
It’s not a big problem if the centrifuge doesn’t have a backup unit and operates for three to five years, but the air valves and piston rings of reciprocating machines are vulnerable components; an operating life of over one year is already considered good, especially in the initial phase. If the requirements for continuous operation cycles are not high and short shutdowns in between are acceptable, it is fine to use an imported unit without a backup. If longer operation cycles are required, a compromise can be made by using one imported unit along with one domestic backup unit. Hehe. . . Domestic Wuxi compressors, Shanghai Dalong, and there seems to be one company in Sichuan that is quite good as well.
