There is no flow monitoring device at the inlet of the waste heat boiler. If the inlet and outlet pressures of the boiler as well as the temperature of the waste heat flue gas are known, how can the flue gas flow rate at the boiler inlet be determined?
For some industries, the amount of flue gas generated based on the amount of material fed in can be calculated by design firms; in practice, the overall amount of flue gas can be estimated based on the production process and the initial amount of material used
It is deduced back using thermal balance based on the enthalpy change in steam or hot water production.
