There is HCl gas in toluene, so carbon steel cannot be used; therefore, I was wondering if fiberglass pipes can be used? I’m afraid static electricity will be generated and there’s no way to discharge it
It’s better to use stainless steel pipes. Why must fiberglass be used? FRP is, in essence, still glass; it does not conduct electricity well
Glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes and fittings possess good electrical conductivity and fire resistance. It also possesses properties such as corrosion resistance and UV protection, and is widely used in the petroleum, chemical, and shipbuilding industries. Tianjin Jingyada International Trade Co., Ltd. is the Chinese agent for FPI glass fiber reinforced plastic pipe products. Over the years, thanks to its high-quality products, professional services, and highly competitive prices, our company has successfully completed numerous oil and gas field projects both domestically and internationally, earning a good reputation in the industry as well as the trust of its clients. First, let me correct something: fiberglass is not glass; it is made by combining epoxy resin with glass fibers and then winding them together through a special process. It is lightweight, conductive, corrosion-resistant, and fireproof; it also has low installation and maintenance costs as well as a long service life. It has been widely used in industries such as chemicals, petroleum, natural gas, and the shipbuilding sector for many years. Its product features give it many advantages over steel pipes.
