Notice on the 25th National Technical Exchange Conference for Urea Plants
Thread Content
2016 was the starting year of the 13th Five-Year Plan and the decisive phase for building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. It was also a year focused on advancing structural reforms, and China’s urea industry reached a critical point where development and transformation were necessary, as well as accelerated progress in supply-side structural reforms. Amidst the multiple challenges faced by the entire industry, including excess production capacity that needs to be addressed urgently, a need to upgrade and adjust the structure of raw materials and products, and rising production costs, all urea manufacturers must seize opportunities, meet these challenges, continue to deepen reforms, actively pursue technological and product innovation, optimize production techniques, develop new urea products, and regard reform and innovation as the main driving force for the long-term development of their businesses. In line with the spirit of the **Notice on Reducing the On-grid Electricity Prices for Coal-fired Power Generation and Industrial Electricity Use issued by the National Development and Reform Commission (Document No. Fa Gai Jia Ge 748), as well as the Guidelines on Promoting the Transformative Development of the Fertilizer Industry issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, these measures pose new challenges to the survival and development of nitrogen fertilizer manufacturers. After nearly a year of preparation, the Urea Technology Advisory Department of the National Fertilizer Industry Information Center has decided to hold the “25th National Annual Technical Exchange Conference for Urea Plants” in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, from May 24 to 27, 2016 (registration on May 24). This meeting will focus on exchanges in the following areas: advanced technologies for reducing the cost of synthetic ammonia ; Renovation and optimization of the urea plant system ; Specific implementation plan for increasing production while reducing energy consumption and waste (mainly focusing on reducing steam and electricity consumption) ; Product quality control and structural adjustment (large-grain urea technology) ; Operating experience of stripping units ; Management and maintenance of equipment ; Application of environmental protection treatment technologies ; Advanced equipment, automatic control instruments, production technologies, and the use of new materials, etc ; The development of downstream products from urea, as well as enterprise management, etc. The attendees are mainly senior managers and engineering technicians from urea plants across the country ; Well-known industry experts and technical personnel from design institutes. Well-known domestic and international technology and patent experts have been invited to introduce advanced technologies and new products, and all members of the “National Urea Technology Advisory Committee” have also been invited to attend (the list is attached). This conference will organize the participating delegates to visit Jiangsu Linggu Chemical Co., Ltd. for an inspection tour. All organizations are warmly invited to send representatives to attend.
