Hello, teachers. I am involved in the pyrolysis of used engine oil, obtaining fractions with a range of 200–330; these fractions have a flash point of 43 and a cetane number of 42. I would like to ask if such oil can be used to blend with diesel fuel. If it can, which parameters should I pay attention to? Can I use *AO acid isooctyl ester as a cetane number booster? It can be used; estimate the various parameters based on blended diesel, then create a sample for testing. The cetane number can have its index calculated in advance, after which additives can be added. It won’t work when used alone; it’s okay when blended with standard diesel. The main issues are that the freezing point and acid value are difficult to control. You must be running a small workshop that uses acid washing and alkali neutralization, right?
