Gentlemen, the breather valves on the storage tanks are equipped with flame arresters. Is a flame arrester also installed on the DN emergency relief manhole?
Emergency relief manholes are not equipped with flame arrestors; however, the breathing valves used in conjunction with them are fitted with flame arrestors depending on the properties of the substance, such as Class A B and Class B substances.
There’s no need to install anything else; just put a breathing valve in place
Emergency venting devices do not require flame arresters; they are used primarily for releasing gases and have no impact on the storage tank
The so-called emergency relief manhole must ensure that it can release pressure when opened; a flame arrester must not be installed, otherwise what if it gets clogged over time and is unable to release pressure?
