This post was last edited by leo_0088 on 2016-7-14 at 16:10. The gas flow meters and hydrogen flow meters currently in use in the workshop are both orifice plate flow meters. Orifice plate flow meters have low accuracy and cannot provide accurate measurements. Given the need for accurate accounting in other workshops as well as for departmental cost calculation, it has been decided to replace them with flow meters that offer higher accuracy and greater stability. As a non-expert, I’m not sure what parameters need to be specified, so I’ll just describe the requirements for one of the flow meters: For the gas flow meter: Flow rate: 0–2500 Nm3/h (normally 1000–2350 Nm3/h); pressure: 2.3 Mpa (the pressure is reduced to 1.75 Mpa after passing through the flow meter to ensure stability); pipe diameter: DN80; temperature: 5–35°C, with temperatures remaining near normal except during winter. Hydrogen flow meter: Flow rate: 0–5000 Nm3/h (normally 1000–4000 Nm3/h); pressure is unstable (there is a hydrogen buffer tank behind the flow meter, and a compressor is located after that buffer tank; depending on the amount of hydrogen used, the pressure at the flow meter varies, generally ranging between 1.1–2.0 Mpa). Pipe diameter: DN80; temperature: 10–35°C, basically at room temperature. Given the high cost of mass flow meters, they are not considered for now ; I plan to use a turbine or vortex flow meter; considering future maintenance and stability, I’m not sure which one is more suitable Which brands have relatively high reliability?
Vortex flow meters seem to be a good choice, but they have poor interference resistance; Anubaa is another option worth considering as well. You’ll need to do some research on your own to find out more.

When it comes to measurement, I think it’s better to use imported brands. Well, since quality isn’t a concern, then vortex flow meters can be used; E+H or Rosemount would be good options. If needed, we can help you choose one free of charge
This post was last edited by zxb1990 on 2016-7-14 at 18:11. We use turbine flowmeters to measure natural gas, for trade measurement purposes, and they work well; however, they must be imported. Some of the domestic turbine flowmeters made by companies such as Zhejiang Tianxin and those from Cangnan use foreign-made components, are assembled domestically, and then given imported labels – so it’s better to avoid using them. We use imported Alstom flowmeters, which perform well. As for measuring hydrogen flow, we have not used such flowmeters.
Vortex flow meters are better, as they require less maintenance. Vortex flow meters suffer from mechanical wear. Additionally, temperature and pressure compensation for the gas makes the measurements more accurate.

It’s better not to use Anniuba; hydrogen and natural gas have such low densities, which makes it difficult to measure the differential pressure. Moreover, differential pressure transmitters are not easy to use, and they certainly won’t provide accurate readings. Vortex flow meters are recommended; they have no moving parts inside, so there is no mechanical wear at all, which ensures accuracy. Next is to find a product with strong anti-interference capabilities. If you really want to get accurate measurements and make good use of it, I can recommend it to you.
