For the electric bottom valve in polymerization reactors, the main faults I have identified are: 1. The limit switch is not in the correct position; 2. Motor trips due to overcurrent ; 3. The screw rod and lock nut are prone to wear ; 4. Failure of the reducer bearings ; If the quality of the purchased products is satisfactory, it is necessary to conduct regular inspections, carry out periodic maintenance, and maintain a proper current level. What are those faults that still occur during use, and how should they be dealt with?
Since it is a foot valve, there is a high possibility that solid impurities will get caught, resulting in incomplete closure.
1. Leakage is a serious issue that can lead to death. 2. The device gets stuck, and the overload protection isn’t effective; as a result, the motor heats up and fails due to inadequate protection
The upper seal fails frequently, and the plunger has scratches resulting in poor sealing.
Jumping stop, screw slippage; Poor sealing ;
Sealing rings are prone to damage; regular lubrication of the screw can extend the lifespan of the nut.
1. Soft sealing is better than hard sealing; resin particles or plasticizers can easily cause hard sealing to fail and lead to leaks;
Make sure to provide proper sealing for the transmission mechanism and the lift valve stem. Also, take rain into consideration during installation, striving to prevent water from accumulating in the drive components;
