Our company’s low-temperature methanol washing unit was built 9 years ago, using the Lurgi process package; no online analyzers for sulfur (H2S+COS) are installed on its exhaust pipelines. In light of the increasingly strict environmental regulations, I wonder if there are any online sulfur analyzers installed on the exhaust pipelines of the units operated by you all
I don’t think so; we don’t have one either in our new devices
We don’t have it either; let’s adjust it properly before environmental protection measures are implemented. If emissions are severe, environmental regulations will require installation along with online monitoring.
No, environmental protection measures only apply to the exhaust stacks used for sulfur recovery; the sulfur content in low-methane exhaust gases is generally within the acceptable limits set by environmental regulations
No. Under normal circumstances, it won’t exceed the limit; this is easy to control. If it’s easy to control, then there’s no need for it!
We have designed an online analysis system, but due to the high moisture content in the exhaust gases, it has not been possible to put this system into use.
We haven’t added it here; when strict requirements apply, just conduct more tests and adjust the operating conditions accordingly
If there’s no problem, don’t look for trouble – act like you don’t know!
Few manufacturers install online sulfur analyzers on exhaust gases; they rely mainly on regular analysis of the sulfur content in the exhaust
