We need to select a heat exchanger for use in a reactor; there is no stirring inside the reactor, and it is required that the material does not come into contact with metal ions. The heating medium is heat transfer oil, with an operating temperature of around 220 degrees Celsius. We are considering using either a pure tetrafluoroethylene heat exchanger or one lined with tetrafluoroethylene. If any of you have experience in this area, please offer your guidance.
It is recommended to use our new material. Teflon offers strong corrosion resistance, but its drawback is its poor thermal conductivity. Additionally, the adhesion between teflon and metals is weak, which can lead to the teflon peeling off. The temperature resistance of trifluorine and tetrafluorine is also an issue.
