Which technology, desulfurization or denitration, is the trend for the future?

Hello everyone. From what we know currently, the most effective method for desulfurization is the use of lime slurry in desulfurization towers, while liquid ammonia seems to be used for denitrification. We’re not sure what the prospects are for these two methods in the future； Are there any new, promising desulfurization and denitration technologies?
Both wet flue gas desulfurization and SCR denitration are commonly used in major power plants today.
