This is the first national basic subject competition held by Southern University of Science and Technology and Shenzhen, marking an important step taken by Shenzhen in exploring high-level subject construction and cultivating innovative talents. Since 2014, under the leadership of Zhang Xumu, leader of the competition bidding team and director of the Chemistry Department of Southern University of Science and Technology, team members have had in-depth discussions with the Chinese Chemical Society many times to observe and fully understand the competition. The 31st China Chemistry Olympiad (Final) and Winter Camp is scheduled to be held at Southern University of Science and Technology from the end of November to early December 2017. The event will last for one week. It is expected that more than 400 middle school students and more than 500 team leaders, observers, and trainees from nearly 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country will attend. * Representatives and society representatives participated, with a total number of participants of nearly a thousand people. According to reports, the China Chemistry Olympiad (Final) and Winter Camp is the highest level chemistry event for high school students in the country.
