On November 11, a roof collapse took place at the Jingyuan Coal and Electricity Honghui No. 1 Coal Mine, killing 1 person. On November 12, reporters learned from the work safety supervision departments in Gansu Province and Baiyin City that at 5:26 on November 11, an underground collapse accident occurred in front of supports No. 121-122 in the 1711 longwall mining face of the First Coal Mine of Jingyuan Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd., which buried the coal miners on duty. After the accident, the coal mine promptly organized rescue efforts and transported the injured to the hospital for treatment. Due to the severity of their injuries, they died at 8:50 that same day despite attempts to save them.
