Jingmen Petrochemical Fully Enters “Winter Production Mode” 2016-12-01 Source: Petrochemical News According to China Petrochemical News Network (Sun Gao), with the arrival of strong cold air, Jingmen Petrochemical has taken measures to cope with the sudden drop in temperatures, focusing on frost prevention and warmth preservation, and has fully entered “Winter Production Mode” to ensure the safe operation of its facilities and help them survive the winter safely. “The \"winter production mode\" requires that all equipment, devices, and piping insulation systems be in good condition and able to provide proper heating; the condensate and drain systems must remain unobstructed, and any leaks in the heating systems must be promptly repaired to prevent the medium from condensing. To this end, Jingmen Petrochemical organized all its production units to carry out comprehensive self-inspections for winter protection and insulation. Formulate rectification plans for existing problems, address management gaps, and ensure no hidden risks or overlooked areas remain. For potential emergencies, early detection, early reporting, and early control should be ensured, with a focus on timely and effective handling to prevent freezing blockages. The technical teams in each workshop make timely adjustments to the production processes based on winter conditions and their own production characteristics, so as to save energy consumption while ensuring stable production. Each production team requires its employees to increase the frequency of inspections of key equipment and instruments, with a focus on pipelines that are used intermittently, idle equipment, and heat tracing systems, in order to prevent leaks that could affect safe production. At the same time, Jingmen Petrochemical conducted special inspections of instrument heating pipelines, insulation boxes, pipes prone to freezing, and machine pump cooling systems, striving to ensure no gaps in frost prevention and heat retention. Recently, a total of 56 damaged insulation units, 67 heat tracing pipelines, and 136 areas of external insulation were repaired. Implement the requirement of \"not missing a single pipeline or allowing even a trace of steam to leak,\" by taking specific measures to prevent freezing and maintain warmth; strive to prevent any machine pump, pipeline, or electrical instrument from being damaged by freezing, so as to ensure stable production and safeguard the equipment through the winter.
