Vibration of screw compressors

For the screw compressors in our company, the vibration levels measured on the male and female rotors are much higher in the vertical position than in the horizontal position. What is the cause of this?
Have the bearing shells been checked? Is the clearance between them above the acceptable limit? It seems it’s time for scheduled maintenance
It was checked that the bearing clearance is within limits and there are no loose components.
Loose anchor bolts, bearing clearance, synchronous gear clearance, screw clearance – poor fit in any of these can all cause excessive vibration
