Question: What are the large domestic fertilizer plants (with purification using low-temperature methanol washing)? I mainly want to know if anyone has made openings on the inlet pipeline of the rich methanol flash tank, or on the inlet and outlet pipelines of the semi-poor liquid pump (or poor methanol pump) I’d like to ask for some advice on operational experience. Let me first talk about our unit, model 45·80. It has been in operation for one and a half years, and to date it has not released any methanol, nor have any openings been made in those two areas. In China, synthetic ammonia plants with a capacity of over 300,000 tons are all equipped with low-temperature methanol processes. The largest NHD desulfurization and decarbonization plant in the country is currently that used for hydrogen production at Jinling Petrochemical, and its operating capacity is only around 50,000 tons of hydrogen per year. I don’t know what you mean by “opening” Discharge for parking and maintenance?
Connecting another pipe to that one constitutes an opening; the new pipe operates in parallel with the original one. Please tell me some examples of pipes that have been in use for a long time, as longer operating periods mean more operational experience
Why add pipes in parallel? Unless an opening is created to supply a portion of the lean liquid or semi-lean liquid as an absorbent to the smaller absorption unit – which would represent a minor technical modification – it is still necessary to consider whether the methanol pump has the capacity to handle such a volume of fluid. Moreover, the opening cannot be located directly at the pump outlet; the absorbent liquid must be introduced at a point where the temperature is lower, as the temperature at the pump outlet remains relatively high.
