Dear marine engineers, how is the typical design of a reactor’s process and instrumentation flow diagram created? Which parameters need to be controlled for the reactor in a PID diagram? Are there any typical diagrams I can refer to? Please help me out, everyone.
This depends on the process requirements. A reaction kettle can be used; generally, a thermometer is necessary. When high precision is required regarding the reaction temperature range, a thermometer with remote transmission should be employed, which works in conjunction with the control valves and shut-off valves for the jacket heating tubes and cooling fluid tubes to regulate the temperature inside the kettle. In addition to a thermometer, a pressure gauge is also required; if there are requirements regarding the reaction pressure, the pressure gauge is interlocked with the automatic control valves of the nitrogen pipeline and the vent pipeline.

Basic level; Temperature ; Pressure ; If stirring is used, the stirring rate ; Is online sampling and real-time monitoring of parameters such as flow rate available?
