The company purchased a batch of stainless steel pipe fittings, and there was a lot of welding slag stuck to the inner walls of the pipes, which was difficult to remove. No specific standard is needed; what matters is that the inside of the pipeline is not contaminated. It’s like when you buy carrots with soil attached to them – it’s just a matter of acceptance. There is a problem with your sourcing channels; for example, such pipes are supposed to come with a factory certification – do you have one? Actually, if you’re not the purchaser, it’s better to let the purchaser explain this issue. This tube is one that has been removed and used; just make do with it. However, regarding the procurement and inspection of pipes, there has indeed been no requirement regarding surface smoothness, nor any consistent standard; therefore, it’s best to have standards in place to specify what level of smoothness is required. Structural steel pipes do have requirements regarding their surfaces, but since there are no such regulations for pipes used in fluid transport, it’s quite confusing
It’s clearly oxidation slag left over from plasma cutting; it has nothing to do with roughness. The original fittings shouldn’t have this problem; moreover, since they aren’t socket-welded fittings, why is there no bevel?
You’re referring to a fundamental issue: in official procedures, a certification is an essential requirement; as for second-hand pipes, it’s not possible to trace their material or the manufacturer
