The conference invited an expert evaluation panel composed of various authoritative scholars, including Professor Chen Changqi from Hefei University of Technology, Professor Liu Kun from Northeastern University, Professor Chen Jian from Sichuan University, and researchers Hu Jiansheng and Xie Yuanlai from the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to jointly assess the project outcomes. After thorough technical evaluations and on-site tests, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the project has completed the designated research tasks and met the relevant key technical criteria, and approved the project for acceptance. It marks a new breakthrough in China’s technological research and development in the field of high-end vacuum valves! At the acceptance meeting, Researcher Zuo Guizhong, the project leader, delivered a special presentation on the research and development background, technical approach, industrialization plans, as well as social and economic benefits. Dr. Song Kaiyu, the technical director, gave a detailed presentation on technological innovation and valve performance: The DN400 all-metal sealed gate valve utilizes metal sealing compensation technology, addressing the issues of wear and short lifespan associated with traditional soft-sealed valves ; A high-precision valve plate surface machining process was developed to ensure a sealing surface fit of over 99% ; An integrated displacement sensor and intelligent control system are used to enable real-time monitoring of the valve status as well as remote control. He stated that the valve’s operating temperature range is from -196°C to 650°C, the sealing and switching life of its valve disc exceeds 5,000 cycles, and its overall performance is on par with international advanced standards. By reviewing technical documents, observing demonstrations of prototype units, and asking questions about key technical details, the expert group gave high praise to the project’s outcomes: the project adopts a scientific technical approach, features comprehensive data, and its product’s key technical specifications meet all requirements; it is of great significance for promoting self-reliance and control over critical valve equipment in China! Professor Chen Changqi, head of the expert group, said, “It is recommended to start industrial production as soon as possible and accelerate the development of related products to meet market demand.” ” As a model of collaborative innovation among industry, academia, and research institutions, the project team joined forces with various organizations at home and abroad to overcome key technical challenges in areas such as material selection, simulation, and condition simulation testing. Zhang Zhiming, senior vice president of Sichuan Jiutian Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd., emphasized in his speech: “In the future, we will accelerate the industrialization of DN400 all-metal sealed valves, providing cost-effective domestic solutions for the construction of future fusion reactors.” ” The DN400 all-metal-sealed plug valve is a special type of valve designed for extreme operating conditions such as those involving tritium, high temperatures, high pressures, and severe corrosion; it is widely used in industries like petrochemicals and nuclear power for transporting aggressive media under tough conditions. For a long time, such high-end valves have relied on imports, resulting in issues such as long procurement cycles, high costs, and delayed service responses. After two years of intense effort, the project team overcame key technical challenges such as the design of all-metal hard-seal structures, the reliability of dynamic sealing, and ultra-precision machining techniques, and successfully developed a DN400 all-metal sealed gate valve with entirely independent intellectual property rights. The successful holding of this acceptance meeting not only acknowledges the technical capabilities of the project team, but also demonstrates the determination of domestic high-end valve manufacturers to overcome the critical challenges they face. With the industrial-scale production of this product, it will effectively reduce the equipment maintenance costs in downstream industries, improve production safety and efficiency, and contribute to the achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals
