Is the purpose of installing it this way to redirect flow in order to avoid the actuating mechanism above the control valve? I remember that for check valves, there are no requirements regarding the position before or after installation; perhaps it would be possible to swap the positions of the two valves. Installing it in this way definitely won’t work. When a rotary valve is installed in such a manner, it will be difficult to close it properly later on; it may not be able to be closed at all, or some materials might stick to the valve and prevent it from closing. Personal suggestion
