Colleagues, may I ask how we extend the service life of our safety valves? What procedures need to be carried out? Should it be handled in accordance with the requirements of TSG21? If there is no safety valve self-inspection station, how can an extension be obtained?
The extension of the safety valve’s service life must comply with the provisions in B6.3.2 of the \"Safety Technical Inspection Regulations for Safety Valves\" regarding the extension of the calibration cycle; a risk assessment of the safety valve can serve as a reference for such an extension.
Try not to delay the installation of safety accessories; even if there is a risk assessment, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, as one would not be able to take responsibility in case something goes wrong. In practice, it is common to have one in reserve and one in use, with cyclic use to ensure that all are within their expiration dates. As soon as the system bypass pipe is opened, replace the valve that is about to expire with an effective one. After all, verification still takes some time.
