This situation can have the following effects on equipment pipelines: 1. Corrosion: Water droplets may contain acidic or alkaline substances, which can cause corrosion on the pipeline surface. 2. Damaged insulation material: If water droplets penetrate the insulation material, it will reduce the insulation properties of that material. 3. Leakage and short circuits: If water drops get into electrical equipment, it can lead to the risk of leakage and short circuits. To address this issue, the following measures can be taken: 1. Strengthen corrosion prevention measures: Use corrosion-resistant materials to manufacture equipment pipelines, or apply corrosion protection treatments to the surface of the pipelines. 2. Keep the pipe surface dry: By increasing ventilation and reducing humidity, keep the surface temperature of the pipes below the dew point of the ambient humidity to prevent water vapor from condensing. 3. Use waterproof coating: Apply a waterproof coating to the surface of the pipes to prevent water from seeping inside them. 4. Regular inspection and maintenance of equipment: Periodically check the surfaces of the equipment’s pipes for signs of sweating, clean away water droplets promptly, and repair or replace any damaged insulating materials. It’s generally better to take this into account during the design phase, as adding it later makes construction a bit more difficult. 4- Place a water collection tray under the pipe; it may not look as good, but it is inexpensive and easy to install, making it a compromise solution.
