Why are the thrust bearings of screw compressors placed on the high-pressure side
The thrust generated at the high-pressure side during operation is large.
The axial force generated at the high-pressure end is large!
The thrust bearings of centrifugal compressors are located on the low-pressure side because they are subjected to an axial force from high pressure towards low pressure; then why isn’t it the same for screw compressors?
A screw compressor is of the positive-displacement type; the elementary volume pairs between each male and female rotor generate pressure when they mesh with each other, and suction occurs when they separate~
