Brief introduction: In order to provide better services to its enterprises, the Chemical Division of Sinopec Corporation has encouraged these companies to strengthen equipment management, improve the reliability of their equipment, and ensure safe, stable, continuous, full-capacity, and high-quality operation of their production facilities. As a result, the division organized these enterprises to summarize and analyze past accidents or failures, compiling them into this book titled “Case Studies of Power Accidents and Failures in Petrochemical Enterprise Production Facilities,” so that readers can draw useful lessons from them. The book is divided into five sections: moving equipment, stationary equipment, electrical equipment, instruments, and utility systems. It is hoped that the publication of this book will play a positive role in helping petrochemical enterprises to further improve equipment management, promptly eliminate potential equipment failures or accidents, continuously enhance the reliability of equipment, and ensure its safe operation over extended periods of time.
