For a dual-machine seal, should the two moving rings be fixed to the shaft sleeves in advance, or should they be installed on the shaft first, with the gland attached and then the locking screws tightened?
It should be installed first before locking it
First, install it on the shaft, then insert the lock plate into the slot, secure it, and finally remove the lock plate
The 4th floor answer is correct; if the lock is tightened first and then the cover is pressed down, the axial displacement of the pump body will cause changes in the compression amount of the mechanical seal, leading to leakage from the seal
When is the shaft sleeve locked – before the locking plate is released?
First tighten the gland, then tighten the set screw, and finally loosen the lock plate
The sealing pressure for the container is fixed and adjusted at the time of manufacturing; moreover, all four locking plates are secured at production. During installation, it simply needs to be fitted in place, and after determining the position of the shaft and the sealing area, the sealing cover is tightened along with the set screws, before finally releasing the locking plates
