The mechanical seal water pump stopped working; the initial response was that the bearing was stuck and couldn’t rotate. After that, the backup pump was put into use, but to our surprise, it stopped working as well after less than a day of operation ? What’s the reason for helping to distribute the points? Some questions on site for your reference: Pictures of both the device and the motor have been sent; the outlet pressure is 0.09 MPa, and the current is usually around 6.9, without exceeding the rated value.
It stops and allows easy cranking; I suggest you use a motor with higher power.
The head is 25m and the outlet pressure is 0.09 MPa. Can we install a pressure gauge in front of the outlet valve? Is there a flow meter for the flow rate? The actual flow rate of the pump is unknown; even if the pump operates at a high flow rate, its power consumption will still be too high
This pump is old; it’s likely that the motor bearings have failed.

It is recommended to disassemble the pump for inspection; the overall disassembly work is not very extensive. The focus is on bearings and mechanical seals, especially thrust mechanisms. Oh, we also need to check the electrical aspects such as cable insulation and overcurrent protection settings.
In such cases, it is recommended to try closing the outlet valve; it’s best to install the pressure transmitter in front of the valve.
Have you checked the water tank ahead to see if there’s any blockage? A filter should be installed at the pump inlet, right? If not, the bearings should be checked
