Heating pump operation upon starting the heat transfer medium pump

For pumps used to transport heat media, the temperature of the medium is around 95°C. For stainless steel centrifugal pumps used for heating applications, the medium temperature is about 165°C. Are there any special considerations when using fluoropolymer-lined pumps for heating purposes? Our current procedure is to first allow the material to flow for 5-10 minutes, and then start the pump.
