I am designing a vertical container with a large opening on the upper head, used to hold the oil separator core; a flat cover is then used to press down on the oil separator core, which is secured in place with bolts. I checked the flange data for vertical container equipment, but I couldn’t find a flange design that matches my setup. How should I choose one?
I need to calculate how thick a flange should be to meet the requirements; for a flat cover like the one shown in my drawings, such an option is not available in the software.
