Recently, a cooperation agreement was signed for the technical transformation project aimed at adjusting the raw material structure for nitrogen fertilizer production, with the aim of moving such production out of urban areas and into industrial parks, by Shandong Jinmei Mingshui Chemical Group Co., Ltd. Shanxi Gas Turbine Power and Yingde Gas Group will cooperate on the project to relocate nitrogen fertilizer production facilities out of urban areas and into industrial parks for Shandong Jinmei Mingshui Chemical Group. Shanxi Gas Turbine will supply two air separation units, two Shanxi Gas Turbine EKOL turbine sets, along with system solutions and services for this project. Fang Shiwen, CEO of Yingde Gas Group; Chen Kai, Vice President of Yingde Gas Group; Liu Jingwu, Vice President of Yingde Gas Group; Gai Yongpeng, General Manager of the Procurement Department at Yingde Gas Group ; Chen Dangmin, General Manager of Shaanxi Gas Turbine Power; Li Guangyou, Deputy General Manager of Shaanxi Gas Turbine Power; Su Longsheng, General Manager of Qinfeng Gas, and others attended the signing ceremony. The Technical Transformation Project for Adjusting the Raw Material Structure in order to Move Nitrogen Fertilizer Production Out of Urban Areas and into Industrial Parks, carried out by Shandong Jinmei Mingshui Chemical Group Co., Ltd., is located within the chemical industrial park in Di Town, Zhangqiu District, Jinan City, on the existing site of Shandong Jinmei Mingshui Chemical Group Co., Ltd. The total investment in this project amounts to 2,867.4 million yuan. It involves technological upgrades to the existing ammonia synthesis plants (including one production line with an annual capacity of 190,000 tons of ammonia alcohol and another with a capacity of 250,000 tons of ammonia alcohol), as well as the urea production plants (including one production line with an annual capacity of 270,000 tons of large-grain urea and another with a capacity of 400,000 tons of urea). The existing 1×130t/h medium-temperature and medium-pressure circulating fluidized bed boiler will be upgraded to a high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boiler, while the existing 1×75t/h medium-temperature and medium-pressure circulating fluidized bed boiler will be converted into a 1×180t/h high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boiler. Upon completion of the project, the boiler setup for the entire plant will consist of 3×130t/h circulating fluidized bed boilers (2 in operation and 1 as backup) + 1×180t/h circulating fluidized bed boiler. At the same time, new units for raw water purification, gasification, air separation, shift reaction, methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, and sulfur recovery were constructed.
