I think this is a waste in terms of design – the installation method is the same; why design two different diaphragm units?
I don’t know why. But I learned it. . . I didn’t even know such flush-type flange seals existed before~
Haha, do you know that the two-piece design came first, followed by the one-piece design, and there was a long time gap between the two? Some models cannot be made as a single piece; two complementary designs are needed……
The flushing component is installed secondarily; it is not integrated with the flange. It’s optional; if flushing is required, an additional part will be provided, otherwise not
Was it developed later as a way to reduce costs, since it couldn’t compete with Yokogawa?
Where does competition even begin? If the prices are the same, and if users don’t prioritize price but rather what suits local conditions, then one should adapt to local customs!

In other words, the one-piece design does have a flaw: when the measurement range is low, tightening the flange screws causes the flange to deform, which in turn affects the accuracy of measurements
That’s right; R&D teams that spend a large amount of money each year aren’t working for free. This shows that large enterprises keep up with the times
It shouldn’t be that bad; as long as there’s a choice, the quality should be fine. As far as I know, Rosemount is pretty conservative; the figures it releases to the public are slightly lower than the actual values, perhaps as a precaution. Of course, practice is the only criterion for testing truth. It’s not impossible that a very small number of products might develop new problems when used in actual user environments, problems that may not have been anticipated by the designers and developers, but such a probability is quite low
