The valve feedback shows gray on the DCS

The valve is displayed as gray in the DCS, with an opening degree of 103%; this is due to the opening degree being too high compared to 100. Is it possible to make adjustments through the DCS configuration? Set it to greater than 100 to show on, and less than 3% to show off.

In Siemens systems, gray indicates an out-of-range error. The 4-20mA range is roughly from a little below 3.9 mA to a little above 21 mA; at such values, the PLC treats it as an error and no longer considers it a normal signal, which triggers fault handling by the PLC. It is advisable to adjust the on-site valve positioner so that it operates within the 4-20mA range corresponding to an opening degree of 0-100%, otherwise problems are likely to occur
