Thermal resistor data sheet: insertion depth of 300 mm, two units – what does \"two units\" mean?
It’s a dual-sensor type, with two sensors inside one rod. Some transmitters can also support dual input and provide a backup output

With two sensors, it can provide two outputs, or one can be used while the other serves as a backup.
Dual-type refers to the arrangement of two sets of temperature sensing elements within one sleeve for the temperature sensing element. Such as thermal resistors and thermocouples. It’s like having two thermometers inside one sleeve.
If it’s a double protective sleeve, I’ve never seen that; ask the designer directly.

A thermistor element has two temperature sensing terminals; normally there is only one, but in your case there are two. These two terminals generate two signals, which, according to the specific requirements, can be fed into the system – for example, one signal for monitoring and another for control, or one as a backup and the other in active use. This thermistor element needs to be inserted 300mm into the process interface
