Which processes should be integrated into SIS, and which parameters within those processes need to be included in SIS? If there are many control points, should all of them be included or only some? I am currently working on a chlorination process in which chlorine reacts with aluminum to produce aluminum trichloride. Those who are familiar with this process could please use it as an example to explain the control requirements. Thank you very much!

Document No. 116 issued by the State Administration of Work Safety describes the chlorination process as follows: Chlorination is a reaction in which chlorine atoms are introduced into the molecules of compounds; the technological processes that involve chlorination reactions are considered part of the chlorination process, and these include substitution chlorination, addition chlorination, and oxychlorination, among others. The chlorination process is one of the 15 hazardous processes that must be equipped with SIS systems. It’s useless to come here to ask about specific locations. A qualified third-party agency must provide you with the drawings. Construct in accordance with the drawings, and purchase certified instruments and SIS systems (it is said that Zhejiang University Zhongkong has obtained certification, though it’s unclear whether this is true or not; the rest are imported products). A few months remain; if no improvements are made, closure is inevitable.

We have previously worked on a project involving aluminum fluoride and ice crystals; according to the HAZOP analysis conducted by the design institute, the required safety level was SIL2. As for the exact number of risk points, only the design institute can provide an accurate figure – we are unable to do that.
