The locations where sulfur blockages can occur in the prevention system are two: ① Pipelines containing liquid rich in solid sulfur particles or sulfur slurry; ②Equipment for rich liquid or sulfur slurry containing solid sulfur particles. For sulfur blockages in sections ① and ②, we have developed many effective methods to avoid them: (1) Pipeline anti-blocking measures. For pipelines containing solid sulfur particles, it is necessary to use pipes of appropriate specifications in order to control the flow rate. If the flow rate is too low, sulfur tends to deposit within the pipes and cause blockages; if the flow rate is too high, the pressure drop in the pipes increases, leading to higher energy consumption by the pumps. The GLT process package helps customers select the right pipe diameter to balance the issues of sulfur deposition and high pressure drops. ②For pipelines containing solid sulfur particles, it is necessary to take into account the length of the horizontal sections; longer horizontal sections can lead to sulfur deposition that blocks the pipeline. The GLT process package specifies the required length and orientation of the horizontal sections, as well as requiring that the pipeline have a certain slope angle after traveling a certain distance. ③At pipe elbows or tee joints where solid sulfur particles are present, it is necessary to take into account the risk of sulfur blockages occurring at certain bends due to the flow of these solid sulfur particles; the GLT technology package proposes the use of special elbows and additional measures for clearing such blockages at these locations. (2) Equipment anti-clogging measures: ① For equipment containing solid sulfur particles, it is necessary to take into account the risk of sulfur clogging at the bottom outlet due to these particles. The GLT technology set includes a conical design with a specific angle, as well as mechanisms to limit the fluid retention time, tailored to handle different concentrations of sulfur particles. ②To address the issue of sulfur blockage that can occur in the bases of static equipment containing solid sulfur particles, the GLT package technology features specially designed internal components that enable regular external flushing of the bottom head area of the equipment, controlled according to a set schedule. ③For the leakage problems at the mechanical seal caused by sulfur blockage in equipment containing solid sulfur particles, the GLT technology package helps customers select the appropriate method for flushing the mechanical seals, thereby ensuring zero leakage and stable operation of the equipment over extended periods of time. ④For the issue of instrument distortion caused by sulfur blockage in instruments operating in media containing solid sulfur particles, the GLT suite of technologies helps customers select the appropriate types of instruments and flushing procedures to ensure accurate operation of instruments in such equipment. ⑤For the transportation of fluids in equipment containing solid sulfur particles, the GLT technology package provides customers with a \"Equipment Layout Diagram\" that specifies the relative positions of the moving equipment and the stationary equipment containing solid particles, thereby ensuring smooth and steady transportation of the fluids containing sulfur particles.
