The process requires low investment, occupies little space, has low operating costs, ensures stable device operation, and does not generate any secondary pollutants. The increasingly strict environmental regulations force companies to adopt new technologies for the removal of hydrogen sulfide gas; the complexed iron process can effectively remove hydrogen sulfide gas, helping companies meet environmental standards while maximizing their profitability.
As far as I know, there is a team in Chongqing that has developed equipment for natural gas desulfurization. It far exceeds the domestic level.
We also have experience in applying this technology for natural gas desulfurization; it has been operating stably since 2013 to this day :)

But the data looks quite good. What is the maximum scale for a single unit? If all the sulfur recovery units in the Puguang gas field (with a total sulfur production of 2 million tons per year) were designed as complex iron-based hydrogen sulfide removal units, how many such units would be needed to meet the demand? Also, why is SO2 used for exhaust emission control (and not H2S)? Was SO2 generated during the reaction process? What is the product?

Hello, the maximum sulfur processing capacity of our single complex iron treatment unit is 30 tons per day, which is equivalent to 10,000 tons per year. If the sulfur volume exceeds 10,000 tons per year, we recommend that the owner use a Claus unit in combination with complexed iron for advanced desulfurization. Regarding exhaust emissions, we remove H2S to levels below 3 PPM; after combustion, the amount of SO2 generated is kept below 50 mg. The end products are sulfur and water, with no generation of any type of waste pollution.
The quality of sulfur products containing complexed iron should not be able to meet the top-grade standards.
