In accordance with the newly revised \"Regulations on Environmental Protection Management for Construction Projects\" issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the administrative approval required for environmental protection inspections upon project completion has been abolished; instead, the construction units are responsible for carrying out these inspections themselves, while still subject to supervision and inspection by the environmental protection authorities. This ensures that all required aspects are covered during the inspections, that the standards remain unchanged, and that the results of the inspections are made publicly available. In order to conscientiously fulfill its primary responsibility as the construction party with regard to environmental protection and the principle of \"simultaneous implementation of three measures,\" the company organized a meeting with a third-party agency on April 27, 2017, to conduct an environmental impact assessment for the completion of the comprehensive renovation project for m3/h wastewater treatment. Those who attended the meeting included representatives from 9 entities, such as Anhui Aochuang Environmental Testing Co., Ltd. (the monitoring unit), Anhui Chemical Industry Research Institute (the environmental impact assessment unit), and 3 members from Anhui’s pool of environmental protection experts; a acceptance working group was established at the meeting. The acceptance team first listened to a report presented by Zhang Yanmin, the company’s deputy general manager, on the progress of the 350 m3/h project and the implementation of the environmental protection principle of \"simultaneous implementation of three aspects\". The project adopts an advanced biochemical treatment process of \"Stage I A/O + secondary sedimentation tank + SBR + sand filtration.\" The total investment amount is 26 million yuan, of which 26 million yuan is allocated to environmental protection measures, accounting for 100% of the total investment. The project underwent completion inspection and monitoring in October 2017, and all the test results were satisfactory. During the project acceptance period, the operating conditions were stable; all process parameters met or exceeded the design standards. The pollution control facilities were functioning properly, satisfying the requirements for environmental protection acceptance upon completion. The acceptance team listened to reports, reviewed and verified relevant documents, and conducted on-site inspections regarding environmental protection. After careful discussion and thorough evaluation, the team unanimously concluded that the project had strictly complied with the environmental impact assessment procedures as well as the \"three simultaneities\" principle for environmental protection; the procedures for environmental protection review and approval were complete, and the technical documents and environmental protection records were adequate. Therefore, the project met the conditions for environmental protection acceptance upon completion. The acceptance team agreed in principle that the 350 m3/h sewage treatment renovation project should pass the environmental protection acceptance upon completion.
