On April 10, the Management Committee of Alxa High-Tech Zone and Alxa League Humin Energy Industry Co., Ltd. signed an agreement regarding a new materials industry base project, marking another investment project worth over 10 billion yuan coming to the high-tech zone. Kong Degui, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the High-Tech Zone, Lin Min, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee, and Lin Xiaoren, Chairman of Alxa League Hu-Meng Energy Industry Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony. At the ceremony, Lin Min, on behalf of the High-Tech Zone Management Committee, signed an agreement with Lin Xiaoren, the chairman of Alxa League Hu-Mong Energy Industry Co., Ltd. The two parties agreed that Alxa League Hu-Mong Energy Industry Co., Ltd. would build a new coal chemical and new materials industry base in the Bayin Aobao Industrial Park. The total investment for this project is 20 billion yuan, with an area of around 4 square kilometers; the construction will take place in three phases. The high-tech zone provides full support for project construction, and offers coordination and assistance regarding project land allocation, supporting service facilities, approval procedures, and the implementation of policy incentives. At present, with the active coordination and assistance of various departments at all levels in the high-tech zone, the preliminary procedures for Phase 1 of this project are being advanced steadily; the project is planned to produce 5 million tons of heavy-media washed coal per year, 3 million tons of JL6250D type compacted coke per year, 400,000 tons of methanol per year, and 100,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year. This product is primarily used in the production of high-tech, high-value-added new energy materials. Once the project is completed, it will enable a modern, leapfrogged upgrade of coal coking processes, allowing for fully enclosed storage of coal and coke. This will further facilitate the development of a circular economy within the coal chemical and salt chemical industry chains in the high-tech zone.
