In our sulfur process gas heat exchanger, the process gas coming out of the first converter enters the inlet of the tube side of the heat exchanger; it then exits from the tube side outlet and goes to the second cooler. The process gas exiting the second cooler enters the shell side of the heat exchanger, from where it proceeds to the second converter. The liquid sulfur in the tube side of the process gas heat exchanger enters the liquid sulfur tank through a sulfur seal device, while no such seal device is installed on the shell side of this heat exchanger.
